Pelvic Floor Muscle Therapy For Men
Approximately 1 in 10 men suffer from bladder or bowel weakness at some time in their lives.
This can be due to the weakness of the pelvic floor muscles due to constipation, smoking, a chronic cough or being overweight.
It is now recommended that men who are having prostate surgery are taught pelvic floor muscle exercises preoperatively and then see a physiotherapist afterwards to help gain good bladder control.
A course of pelvic floor physiotherapy is often beneficial to men as well as women to help improve bladder or bowel control.
